Cruise Control Fix On a Transmission Swap

I have a an 86' 325iA. I have done a 5 speed conversion from a 4 stage auto. One problem after everything was installed was the car didn't start and I had no cruise control.

I found out later on that you had to connect the two green wires (green/yellow and a green/black?). When these were connected you could start the car. But you couldn't use cruise control. Now when the car is started you can disconnect the green wires and this enabled the cruise control unit to switch on and hey you have cruise control back. My suggestion is to fit a switch somewhere. This also makes a good security device

.

NOTE: That when driving with crusie control on and changing gear is not advised. The car will rev till red line, because it thinks it has to rev to maintain the speed of the car. To combat this you need to fit a micro switch to the clutch pedal or just remember to turn of the cruise control before you change gear.
